Home Sitting

Q How do you vet your Guardian Guardian Angels and how do you know they are sticking to your rules?

A We have a strict multi-stage vetting process which takes up to two months to complete. All our Guardian Guardian Angels are mature and reliable people; they are all employees of the company (not self employed or sub-contractors) and as such they are bound by our terms and conditions of employment. In addition they are all true animal lovers who will naturally put your pets first.

Q Do the Guardian Guardian Angels stay with my pets all the time?

A Owing to minimum wage legislation, unless you specifically request 24-hour care your Guardian Guardian Angels will be able to leave the property; however our Guardian Guardian Angels are employed to care for your home and pets and as such never leave your home unattended for more than three hours.

Q Will I meet my Guardian Guardian Angel in advance?

A We positively encourage a pre-assignment meeting for both your and our Guardian Guardian Angel peace of mind; we feel that it is imperative to ensure that both parties are happy. Using our Briefing form the Guardian Guardian Angel is clearly made to understand your exact requirements.

Q Am I insured if a Guardian Guardian Angel breaks any of my belongings?

A Our Guardian Guardian Angels are covered by Professional Indemnity and Public Liability and Employers Liability insurance which provides up to one million cover and certainly protects you in any event.

Q What happens if your Guardian Guardian Angel gets ill or needs to leave halfway through my holiday?

A We have in excess of 1,200 fully vetted and fully insured employees and as such if an employee is ill or unable to continue an assignment we will always be able to locate another suitable employee to takeover.

Q What happens if I don't think the Guardian Angel you recommend is suitable?

A We will simply locate another more suitable Guardian Angel for you and continue doing so until you are absolutely satisfied.

Q What does the Guardian Angel do whilst I am away?

A Your Guardian Angel will undertake the pet and home duties as you have indicated in the Briefing the Guardian Angel form however, your Guardian Angel is allowed out three hours in the morning and separately three hours in the afternoon. In terms of their private time we find that most Guardian Angels will occupy themselves with exploring the local area, shopping, and their own hobbies.

Q Would your staff stay in my home with my teenage son?

A In certain circumstances our Guardian Angels will undertake an assignment where they will share your home with another person, however they are not responsible for any care or guardianship and are purely there to care for your home and pets and based on this, most of our Guardian Angels are happy to share your home with another person.

Home Boarding

Q Will my pets be boarded with many other dogs?

A You can choose either to board your pets in a home with one of our Guardian Angel’ own dogs or in a home with No other pets. Additionally, we identify if your dogs are able to board with cats and children and find a suitable Guardian Angel based on all your requirements.

Q Will I meet my Guardian Angel in advance?

A We positively encourage a pre-assignment meeting for both your and our Guardian Angel’ peace of mind; we feel that it is imperative to ensure that both parties are happy with the pets and the environment specifically if there is another dog in the Guardian Angel’ home. Using our Briefing form the Guardian Angel is clearly made to understand your exact requirements.

Q Do we provide the food?

A We request that you provide all food and bedding for your pets; maintaining diet and providing familiar scents and comforts of home. You can also provide toys and treats that your pets are particularly fond of.

Q Will the Guardian Angel walk my dog?

A Our Guardian Angel will maintain all routines of feeding and walking to which your pets are accustomed ensuring your pets happy and rested.

Q Does my dog need vaccinations?

A Your dog will be either boarded with no other pets or with an Guardian Angel’s vaccinated pet and as such no vaccines are required.

Q Do you accept puppies?

A Our Guardian Angels are not under any obligation to undertake assignments and as such not all Guardian Angels will accept puppies, especially if they are not yet house trained, however we find most of our Guardian Angels love to care for puppies of any age.

Q Is there a minimum / maximum stay?

A We can care for your pets for one day, to one month, to one year, whatever is required; we have an Guardian Angel to suit all circumstances.

Q What happens if our Guardian Angel gets ill or needs to stop halfway through my holiday?

Pet Visiting

Q How long will the Guardian Angel visit my pets?

A Our Guardian Angels will visit for up to one hour undertaking feeding grooming walking changing litter and watering plants etc.

Q Will they play with my cats as well?

A Providing your cats are in the home the Guardian Angel will spend the remainder of the hour offering play and or company to your cats.

Q My dog does not walk for long will the Guardian Angel stay and keep him company for the rest of the time?

A Your Guardian Angel will play with a ball in the garden or simply sit with your dog for the remainder of the hour.

Q Will I meet my Guardian Angel in advance?

Q Will my dog be let off the lead?

A It is strict company policy for an Guardian Angel not to let a dog off its lead however, if otherwise stated in writing on the briefing form then it is ok for them to do so.

Q I have one dog that is not very socialised; will my dog be walked with many other dogs?

A Our Guardian Angels offer one to one care and work for one client at a time.

Q My cat has diabetes will the Guardian Angels have experience in administering Insulin?

A In most cases we will find an Guardian Angel with necessary experience. If this is not possible we can arrange for an Guardian Angel to have a few visits with you to gain the experience before you leave.
